1 Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the WA AutoTranslate Chrome extension (the "Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not install or use the Extension.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and the developers of WA AutoTranslate ("we", "us", "our").

2 Description of Service

WA AutoTranslate is a browser extension for Google Chrome that provides real-time translation functionality within WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com). The Extension is provided free of charge and operates entirely within your browser.

The Extension may rely on third-party translation APIs (such as Google Translate). Availability and quality of translations depend on the uptime and accuracy of these third-party services, over which we have no control.

3 License Grant

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

This license does not include:

• The right to sublicense, sell, or redistribute the Extension
• The right to modify, adapt, or create derivative works from the Extension's source code
• The right to reverse engineer or decompile the Extension beyond what is permitted by applicable law
• Any use of the Extension for commercial purposes without our express written consent

4 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Extension to:

• Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
• Transmit any unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Extension or WhatsApp Web
• Use the Extension in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Extension or WhatsApp's services
• Engage in automated scraping, data harvesting, or mass data collection using the Extension
• Violate WhatsApp's own Terms of Service in conjunction with your use of this Extension

5 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of translations
• Warranties that the Extension will remain compatible with future versions of WhatsApp Web or Chrome

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time without notice.

6 Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunity
• Damages resulting from reliance on inaccurate translations
• Any breach of your WhatsApp account or conversations
• Interruption or unavailability of the Extension or translation services

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount paid by you for the Extension in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, as the Extension is free, shall be zero).

7 WhatsApp & Meta Disclaimer

Use of this Extension alongside WhatsApp Web is at your own risk. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from WhatsApp's terms of service, account restrictions, or platform changes that affect the Extension's functionality.

WhatsApp may update their platform at any time, which may cause the Extension to stop functioning. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility but cannot guarantee ongoing functionality.

8 Translation Accuracy

Translations are generated by automated machine translation systems. While generally reliable, machine translations may contain errors, inaccuracies, or mistranslations — particularly for idioms, technical language, slang, or culturally specific content.

• You should not rely on the Extension for critical communications where accuracy is essential (e.g., legal, medical, or emergency contexts)
• We are not liable for any misunderstandings, damages, or consequences arising from inaccurate translations
• For important communications, we recommend verification by a qualified human translator

9 Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your license to use the Extension at any time if you breach these Terms. You may also terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the Extension from your Chrome browser.

Upon termination, the license granted under Section 3 will automatically expire.

10 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Extension shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

11 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
